About this opportunity

The Illinois Office of Communication and Information (IOCI) is procuring an emergency contract to replace the failed satellite controller and satellite dish located at their facility in Springfield, Illinois. IOCI is statutorily mandated to provide broadcast communications services for state agencies and governmental units in Illinois. The contract requires the supply and installation of a new 4.8-meter Ku-band satellite antenna, 1:2 redundant LNB system, antenna control system, and other associated equipment. The contract has a 90-day term and includes two pricing options for single-trip or two-trip installation. The not-to-exceed amount for the contract is $324,475, which includes shipping, installation, and a 5-year warranty on the antenna. Subcontractors are allowed, and the vendor must be registered in the state's procurement system.

There are no set-aside requirements indicated in the contract documents, and no incumbent vendor is identified. The procurement was conducted under emergency conditions due to the critical failure of the existing satellite equipment, and IOCI was unable to procure a replacement controller through small purchase requests. Funding for the contract will be provided through state appropriated funds. The Business Enterprise Program (BEP) goals were set at 0% as there are no BEP-certified vendors under the applicable NIGP codes.
