About this opportunity

The Township of Lakehurst, New Jersey, in Ocean County, is soliciting bids for an emergency interconnect project with bids due November 17, 2026. The source identifies Ocean County as the jurisdiction and does not name a set-aside, preference, or eligibility restriction.

The base bid includes site mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic, and cleaning and restoration, priced as a lump-sum MOBILIZATION item. A second lump-sum item covers furnishing and installing piping, booster pumps, pressure reducing valves, two sampling taps, two pressure gauges, stainless steel pipe supports, and associated appurtenances into an existing precast interconnect vault. This includes water main piping, fittings, tees, valves, restrained joints, electrical panel and components, controls, and reducers, all per the construction plans and Technical Specifications.

The booster pump system is a Grundfos Hydro MPC-EC 2CR95-2-2 or approved equal, sized for 300–500 gpm at 30–60 psi with one pump active and one on standby. It requires high- and low-pressure transducers on suction and discharge, pressure gauges, heat tracing and insulation for freeze protection, and two panel-mounted VFDs that integrate with the Township's existing instrumentation and controls system.
