About this opportunity

The Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD), through the Idaho Division of Purchasing (DOP), is soliciting bids for a tracked forestry mulcher to be delivered to the ITD Coeur d' Alene location in Kootenai County. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is specifically seeking qualified vendors to provide a single tracked forestry mulcher that meets the specifications outlined in the procurement documents. The procurement opportunity, identified by the State Local Contract Opportunity ID 6803c50d88ba964f6903ded4, was posted on April 18, 2025, with a bid submission deadline of April 23, 2025. Vendors interested in this opportunity must carefully review the detailed specifications and ensure their equipment meets all required technical and performance standards. The procurement appears to be focused on acquiring specialized equipment for transportation or forestry-related operations within the Idaho Department of Transportation's infrastructure.

While the provided documentation does not explicitly detail set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions, interested bidders should carefully review the full procurement documents for any potential qualifications or enterprise restrictions. The procurement does not indicate a specific budget range or award value for the tracked forestry mulcher. Potential vendors should note that compliance with all specified technical requirements will likely be a critical evaluation criterion for this procurement. The ITD Coeur d' Alene location will serve as the delivery point for the selected equipment, suggesting this is a localized procurement focused on supporting regional transportation or forestry management needs. Vendors should be prepared to demonstrate their equipment's capabilities, reliability, and alignment with the ITD's operational requirements when submitting their bids.

The Idaho Department of Corrections has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of Urine Analysis Testing. If approved, an exemption from competition may allow the agency to procure the property with limited or no competitive process. Exemption from competition is at the discretion of the DOP Administrator. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator's decision. Suppliers are invited to provide information that may help the DOP Administrator make a decision regarding this requested exemption from competition. Please review the Agency's request, attached in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO. You are invited to provide information that may help support or contradict the claim that competition would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the State under the circumstances. Submit your information by attaching it in the Supplier Attachments section of IPRO and submitting your response or emailing purchasing@adm.idaho.gov. To be considered by the Administrator, all information must be submitted prior to the closing date and time listed in IPRO.
