About this opportunity

The state contract opportunity (ID: 674f1268850b2187a4082304) is a procurement issued by the Idaho State Liquor Division (ISLD) for intrastate, outbound freight delivery services. The primary objective of this project is to facilitate the transportation of distilled spirits and associated operational items within the state of Idaho. Specifically, the contract seeks a logistics provider capable of executing comprehensive freight delivery for the state's liquor distribution network. The solicitation was posted on November 27, 2024, with proposals due by December 3, 2024, presenting a relatively short response window for potential vendors. Interested contractors must demonstrate expertise in freight logistics, specifically within the beverage distribution sector, and possess the necessary transportation infrastructure to meet the state's delivery requirements.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the contract appears to be open to qualified transportation and logistics providers with proven capabilities in state-level distribution networks. The procurement does not indicate specific restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises or small business preferences. The contract's potential award value is not specified, though it represents a critical operational support function for the Idaho State Liquor Division's distribution operations. The scope suggests a need for robust logistical capabilities, including specialized handling of alcoholic beverages, adherence to state transportation regulations, and reliable delivery mechanisms. Potential bidders should anticipate a competitive evaluation process that likely emphasizes operational reliability, compliance with state regulations, and cost-effectiveness in freight delivery services.

The Office of Information Technology Services has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of IRON (Idaho Regional Optical Network) network services. If approved, an exemption from competition may allow the agency to procure the property with limited or no competitive process. Exemption from competition is at the discretion of the DOP Administrator. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator's decision. Suppliers are invited to provide information that may help the DOP Administrator make a decision regarding this requested exemption from competition. Please review the Agency's request, attached in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO. You are invited to provide information that may help support or contradict the claim that competition would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the State under the circumstances. Submit your information by attaching it in the Supplier Attachments section of IPRO and submitting your response or emailing purchasing@adm.idaho.gov. To be considered by the Administrator, all information must be submitted prior to the closing date and time listed in IPRO.
