About this opportunity
The Maine Military Authority's Fiberglass Shop is soliciting bids for ten downdraft tables for HMMWV hood reconditioning, with bids due March 16, 2009 and mandatory onsite visits required between February 23 and March 5, 2009 — failure to complete a site visit results in automatic disqualification.
The scope comprises four tables due within six weeks of award and six additional tables within 120 days of award. Each unit must measure six feet wide by eight feet long by thirty-six inches high with a perforated galvanized steel surface, deliver 4,000 CFM airflow at 300 FPM, and be powered by dual five horsepower motors (or a single ten horsepower 480V motor as an acceptable alternative). Equipment must include two 12" by 26" pleated cartridge filters rated 97.5% efficient at 0.05 microns, reverse pulse compressed air cleaning assemblies, and rear-discharge exhaust configured to avoid work-surface interference.
The vendor must provide a minimum two-year warranty on parts and service with mandatory service calls every six months, twenty-four-hour emergency repair response at no charge during the warranty period, full operational training, and on-site technical support during installation. The Maine Military Authority will manage table unloading, storage, and all electrical and compressed air infrastructure prior to delivery.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder on best overall value, with additional weight given to quality, delivery timeframes, warranty specifications exceeding minimum requirements, design features, and availability of service or sales representatives. In case of tied bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering products manufactured in Maine. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine sales tax; bidders should quote accordingly. Contact Terry Susee at (207) 328-4456 or (207) 215-7899 to schedule the mandatory site visit.
