About this file

This specification document outlines revised requirements for downdraft tables to be procured by the Maine Military Authority's Fiberglass Shop for reconditioning HMMWV vehicle hoods. The State requests delivery of four downdraft tables within six weeks of award and six additional tables within 120 days of award, for a total of ten units. All bid responders are required to conduct mandatory onsite visits at the Maine Military Authority between Monday, February 23 and Thursday, March 5, 2009, arranged by appointment through Terry Susee at (207) 328-4456 or (207) 215-7899. Failure to complete a site visit prior to bid submission will result in automatic bid disqualification. The evaluation process prioritizes best overall value, with additional consideration given to quality, delivery timeframes, warranty specifications exceeding minimum requirements, design features, and availability of service or sales representatives.

The downdraft tables must meet specific minimum technical requirements, including dimensions of six feet wide by eight feet long by thirty-six inches high with a perforated galvanized steel surface, an airflow capacity of 4,000 CFM at 300 FPM, and dual five horsepower motors (with a single ten horsepower 480V motor as an acceptable alternative). Equipment specifications include two 12" x 26" pleated cartridge filters with 97.5% efficiency at 0.05 microns, reverse pulse compressed air cleaning assemblies, and rear-discharge exhaust configured to avoid interference with the work surface. The awarded vendor must provide a minimum two-year warranty on parts and service with mandatory service calls every six months, twenty-four-hour emergency repair response at no charge during the warranty period, full operational training, and on-site technical support during installation. The Maine Military Authority will manage table unloading, storage, and completion of all electrical and compressed air infrastructure prior to delivery.
