About this opportunity
The State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking qualified vendors to provide fire suppression system upfits for eight tracked vehicles located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Specifically, the procurement involves parts and labor for installing Ansul LVS-3 liquid vehicle fire suppression systems on six All Track AT-20HD and two All Track AT-50HD machines. The solicitation requires vendors to submit comprehensive product documentation, including equipment sales literature, technical data, and user manuals. Bids must be electronically submitted through the SWIFT portal by September 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central Time, with the anticipated contract term running from September 20, 2024, through September 19, 2025. Vendors must register as an official supplier with the State of Minnesota to be eligible to bid, and the DNR will be the sole determinant of whether a supplier meets the specified requirements. The DNR intends to issue only one purchase order per supplier, with full payment contingent upon complete delivery and acceptance of items and services.
The solicitation indicates a preference for targeted group, economically disadvantaged, and veteran-owned businesses certified by the state, with potential for a 6% preference for certified small businesses majority-owned and operated by veterans. While certification is not mandatory for bidding, the DNR demonstrates interest in supporting diverse business participation. No specific incumbent vendor is mentioned, and the procurement does not appear to have strict set-aside requirements beyond the preference considerations. The RFB allows the state to award the contract to a single or multiple responders and reserves the right to accept all or part of an offer. Although a precise budget range is not explicitly stated, the procurement involves eight vehicle fire suppression system upfits, suggesting a moderate-scale contract. Interested vendors must comply with all state registration processes, submit required documentation, and be prepared to meet the DNR's technical specifications for the fire suppression system installation.
