About this opportunity
FDOT District Five is requesting price proposals from qualified proposers for the purchase of five (5) Smart Work Zone (SWZ) trailers to be utilized within active construction projects on limited-access facilities in Central Florida. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish a 3-year contract for the procurement of SWZ trailers capable of various Advanced Work Zone Information (AWZI) applications that can detect dangerous situations within active construction zones and notify construction personnel and the Department remotely. The SWZ trailers must meet the detailed technical specifications outlined in the ITB. Bids are due by December 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM, and the contract will be effective from the date of execution and expire 3 years later. The Department may request optional services from the vendor for configuration and operation of the deployed trailer assemblies, with pricing based on one-time lump sum purchases, annual technical support, and as-needed purchases.
This competitive solicitation is open to all qualified vendors, and there are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The contract will be subject to the 1% MyFloridaMarketPlace transaction fee, and the Department reserves the right to apply liquidated damages for late or unsatisfactory performance. While no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, the successful bidder will need to integrate with any existing infrastructure or technology utilized by the Department.
