About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Cafeteria Services at their District Office located in DeLand, Florida. The RFP requires the selected vendor to operate a cafeteria serving breakfast from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM and lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Key objectives include providing a range of food and beverage offerings, maintaining appropriate staffing, and meeting food service quality standards. Proposals are due by May 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM, and the initial contract term is one year with up to three one-year renewal options. The evaluation criteria focuses on the technical proposal, including areas such as operating hours, food offerings, pricing, staffing, and the vendor's relevant experience.

The contract is subject to various nondiscrimination statutes and authorities, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the awarded vendor must comply with the requirements of the Florida Inspector General. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned. The RFP does not provide a specific award value or budget range, but indicates the cafeteria services will be for the FDOT District Five office in Volusia County, Florida.
