About this opportunity
Murray Developmental Center in Centralia, Illinois is requesting bids for a Durable Medical Equipment vendor to supply all items within Medicare's DME classification, with bids due June 10, 2026 and a contract term from execution through June 30, 2027.
Pricing is dictated by Medicare Part B fee schedule rates. The vendor must submit a proposed discount percentage as part of the bid, and award will be granted to the most responsive and responsible vendor charging the lowest percentage of the Medicare fee schedule price. If Medicare implements bid zones for any DME items during the contract period, the contract becomes void for those items.
The scope includes enteral feeding supplies and pumps, ostomy supplies, urological products, tracheostomy supplies, oxygen equipment, respiratory devices, mobility aids, and diabetic monitoring equipment. The vendor must deliver products directly to the facility with individual recipient identification, provide enteral feeding pumps at no cost to the Center, conduct monthly reviews of individual requirements, supply loaner equipment within 24 hours of equipment failure, and honor all manufacturer warranties. Vendors must be Medicare-certified as DME providers and accept assignment of benefits under Medicare Part B. Required documentation includes resident information forms and certificates of medical necessity.
Illinois Standard Terms and Conditions apply, including a three-year record retention requirement (five years if federal funds are used), mandatory insurance coverage with $1,000,000 general liability and workers' compensation, prevailing wage requirements for applicable service categories, and indemnification obligations. The State retains the right to terminate for convenience with 30 days' notice or for cause immediately. The State of Illinois Standard Certifications document imposes 34 distinct compliance requirements covering legal eligibility, financial integrity, labor practices, tax compliance, drug-free workplace, equal employment opportunity, environmental protection, cybersecurity standards, and political contribution restrictions. For contracts exceeding one year, vendors must certify by January 1 of each subsequent fiscal year regarding any changes affecting eligibility status.
