About this opportunity
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the development of a groundwater availability model for the Seymour and Blaine aquifers in North Texas. The project will involve combining the results from existing groundwater availability models and developing a new numerical model using MODFLOW 6. The selected contractor will be required to perform tasks such as data collection, model design, model calibration, predictive modeling, and documentation. Responses are due by January 5, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. CST. TWDB will consider qualifications from business entities that demonstrate the ability to complete the project within the guidelines of the solicitation, applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. The maximum total project cost is $550,000, and funds will be disbursed following the completion of interim deliverables, which include a draft model design, calibrated transient model, draft predictive model, and final model report. The selected contractor will be subject to liquidated damages of $500 per day for any delays in providing the required deliverables.
The RFQ is seeking qualifications from business entities to complete the project in Travis County and the City of Austin, Texas. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The TWDB reserves the right to reject any or all responses.
