About this opportunity

Guilford County is seeking proposals from qualified Design-Build teams for renovation and upfit of the kitchen annex at the High Point Detention Center located at 507 E. Green Drive, High Point, North Carolina, under RFQ Bid 20329 (Rebid #2), with proposals due September 9, 2026. This is a qualifications-based selection for design-build delivery.

The scope encompasses design, estimating, construction, and construction management services for the kitchen annex renovation. Work must be executed in an occupied facility, requiring planning and scheduling that allows operations to continue uninterrupted in affected spaces. The county selected design-build delivery to minimize cost escalation risk, reduce change orders from existing conditions, and compress the overall project schedule through collaboration between design and construction professionals.

No contract value, budget ceiling, or contract term is specified in the available source materials. Evaluation criteria and any set-asides or preferences are not identified. A pre-bid meeting, site visit requirement, or question deadline is not documented in the source.
