About this opportunity

The Puerto Rico government is seeking a Design and Build (DB) contract for an ADA compliant ramp replacement project at the Briarwood Park Recreation Center. This procurement opportunity requires a comprehensive proposal package that includes a detailed Scope of Work addressing multiple project phases. Key deliverables include site data review, design schedule development, permit identification, site and utility design, underground utility coordination, design development documents, construction documentation, permit acquisition, construction execution, and as-constructed drawing submission. The contract requires consultants to provide a complete design and construction solution with thorough documentation and coordination. Proposals are due by September 3, 2025, with the initial posting date of July 30, 2025. Candidates must submit a comprehensive proposal package that demonstrates technical capability to handle all aspects of design and construction, including site assessment, permitting, design development, and final construction implementation.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, the project appears to be a standard competitive procurement opportunity open to qualified design and construction firms. The project scope suggests a preference for contractors with demonstrated experience in ADA compliance, recreational facility improvements, and comprehensive design-build capabilities. Though the exact budget range is not specified in the provided documents, the complexity of the project implies a moderate-scale infrastructure improvement investment. The procurement involves two attached documents: RFP No. 25-106 and an associated Addendum 01, totaling approximately 1.17 MB of documentation. Potential bidders should carefully review all documentation, particularly the technical specifications and requirements outlined in the Request for Proposal documents, to ensure full compliance with the project's technical and procedural standards.
