About this opportunity
Douglas County School District (DCSD) in Georgia is requesting bids for grease trap pumping and maintenance services across 37 school locations under ITB DCSD27-005, with bids due September 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EST through the EUNA/Bonfire portal. Questions were due August 24, 2026; responses were posted August 28, 2026.
The scope covers pumping and cleaning of grease traps at 37 facilities with tank sizes ranging from 1,000 to 40,000 gallons. Most locations require three cleanings annually (November, March, June). Two facilities—Chapel Hill Middle and Stewart Middle (inside traps)—require eleven cleanings per year. A prior conflict regarding Arbor Station Elementary was clarified by addendum: it has an outside 5,000-gallon tank requiring three cleanings annually, not eleven. Pricing must be submitted on a per-cleaning basis for each location, inclusive of waste-product disposal. All pumping must be scheduled through the Central Office; vendors may service outside traps before or after school hours. All work must be performed by direct employees or principals; subcontracting requires written approval.
Respondents must have a minimum of five years' experience in similar projects, preferably with public school systems, and provide at least three references from Georgia school systems. Commercial general liability insurance of $1 million per person and per occurrence, business automobile liability of $1 million, and workers' compensation insurance are required. All respondents must be registered to do business in Georgia and comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, including E-Verify registration.
The contract period runs October 19, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with the option for renewal for up to four additional one-year terms at the district's discretion. Pricing must remain firm throughout the contract term. The district reserves the right to award to one or multiple respondents by group or location based on responsiveness, responsibility, and best value. No minimum purchase is guaranteed. Board approval is anticipated October 19, 2026.
