About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of 240 High Rate Series Data Center batteries. The awarded vendor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing batteries, as well as the delivery and installation of the new batteries within 30 calendar days of receiving the FDLE purchase order. The contract will be for one year with the option for additional orders during that time period. Bidders must attend a mandatory site visit on July 25, 2024 and submit their bids by August 16, 2024. The bid will be evaluated based on the lowest responsive Grand Total price, with FDLE giving preference to any certified minority business enterprises and in-state businesses if pricing is equal. The ITB outlines detailed technical specifications for the required batteries, including minimum requirements for UL listing, flame retardance, and discharge capacity.

FDLE does not give preference to vendors based on social, political, or ideological interests, but the ITB does require vendors to provide a written certification that the commodities offered have not been produced, in whole or in part, by forced labor. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification and potential legal consequences. The ITB does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and it does not specify a budget range for the procurement, but it is a one-year contract with the potential for additional orders during that time period.
