About this opportunity
Rockwood School District in Missouri is soliciting proposals for Category 6A data drops, IDF racks and cabinets, and a fiber campus backbone across multiple district school buildings, with proposals due January 8, 2027. The Appendix A parts list is labeled E-Rate 2026, and the acknowledgement form requires an authorized officer's signature.
The Wildwood Middle School design includes one main distribution frame (MDF) in the Staff Work Room with 38 ports and intermediate distribution frames B through F, with 12 ports each for IDFs B through D serving the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms, and 6 ports each for IDF E in Room 211 and IDF F in the MPR Loft. All fiber terminates in the MDF closet, and no new copper is required beyond the IDF locations. The work includes two data drops at each desk in designated areas, ceiling-mounted drops in locker rooms and the cafeteria for access points, and dedicated drops near the nurse office, the weight room phone/AV rack, and cafe registers.
The Appendix A bill of materials specifies named manufacturers: Corning singlemode and multimode fiber from 6 to 48 fiber counts with closet connector housings and splice cassettes; Ortronics HDJ faceplates, modules, and clarity patch panels in 24- and 48-port configurations; Wire, Berk-Tek, Belden, and Superior Essex Cat 6A cabling; Chatsworth cooling and mounting products; and Panduit nonmetallic raceway. Rack infrastructure ranges from 12U to 26U wall cabinets and 24U to 45U universal racks.
The acknowledgement form requires the proposer to acknowledge all issued addenda with issue and acknowledgment dates, and to confirm that pricing remains valid for at least 90 days from the submission deadline. The opportunity was posted November 4, 2026.
