About this opportunity

The City of Espanola, New Mexico, has issued an emergency procurement for the immediate repair of a damaged bay door at the city's fire station. The damaged door, stuck in a half-open position, posed a serious threat to public safety by restricting emergency apparatus from responding to emergencies. Additionally, the partially open door compromised the security of the fire station, risking potential theft or vandalization of valuable fire apparatus and equipment. The contractor, Windsor Door Sales Incorporated from Albuquerque, NM, was engaged to perform an emergency repair to restore the door's functionality and ensure the fire department's ability to respond to emergencies. The emergency procurement was deemed necessary due to the immediate threat to public health, safety, and property, and was conducted outside of the normal competitive bidding process.

The procurement documents do not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The existing contractor, Windsor Door Sales Incorporated, was selected for the emergency repair work. No additional details are provided regarding the contract value or budget range for the repair services. The documents also include an emergency procurement request from the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, for the immediate procurement of a critical Trojan Tech UV Screen for the Sunland Park Wastewater Treatment Facility, which is justified under state law for addressing an urgent threat to public health and the environment.
