About this opportunity
The State of Illinois, through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), is seeking bids for the one-time purchase of liquid tank trailers. Specifically, IDOT requires two identical double conical tank trailers, each outfitted with a hydraulic pump housed in a cabinet to protect it from the weather and brine splash. The trailers must meet detailed equipment specifications, including requirements for the tank body, inlet/outlet piping, frame, landing stand, axles, suspension, tires, wheels, brakes, and lighting. The successful bidder must provide all required manuals, warranties, and service locations, and deliver the trailers in first-class operating condition, subject to state inspection and approval. Bids are due through the BidBuy e-procurement system by February 27, 2024.
This is not a small business set-aside procurement, and there are no goals for participation by minority-owned, women-owned, or veteran-owned businesses. The state will evaluate bids based on responsibility, responsiveness, and price, and intends to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The resulting contract shall have an initial term upon execution to June 30, 2025, and the total term, including any renewals and extensions, shall not exceed ten years. No other details regarding pricing, incumbent vendors, or budget ranges are provided in the available documents.
