The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the procurement of one custom-built outdoor expandable walk-in storage freezer to be delivered to the Arkansas Valley Correctional Complex in Ordway, Colorado. The freezer must be rated at -10 degrees with dimensions of 40" x 32" x 10" and include a 7'6" x 8" vestibule with a heated hinged access door, light fixture, light switch, and thermometer. The unit specifications include R-Value 46/5.5" thick CFC-free urethane insulation panels with galvanized steel interior and exterior finish, membrane roof cap, interior steel support columns and beams, and hail screens. The freezer must be equipped with two Bohn Model# BDT2200L6C HVAC condensing units (or equal) with 22 HP semi-hermetic discus compressors and two Turbo Air Model# MLD332B electric defrost evaporator coils (or equal). All goods must be received by June 30, 2017. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for March 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM MT, with the submission deadline of April 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM MT via email or fax to Stephanie Diggs at the CDOC Purchasing Office. Award determination will be based on cost, projected delivery dates, quality and safety factors, lifecycle costs, bidder qualifications and experience, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business status. Prospective bidders must be registered on the Colorado Vendor Self Service website, complete a criminal background check for facility access, and comply with CDOC rules and regulations prohibiting contraband items including tobacco products, cell phones, cameras, alcohol, and drugs on premises.
Vendors holding Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) status will receive consideration as a positive evaluation factor. Bid prices must be submitted as FOB-destination, inclusive of all freight costs to the delivery location, with payment terms assumed to be Net-45 days after receipt of goods and invoice unless otherwise specified by the bidder. Warranty requirements include one-year coverage on parts and ten-year coverage on wall panels for the freezer structure, one-year warranty on fan motor and parts with five-year warranty on compressors for the HVAC units, and one-year warranty on fan motor and parts with five-year warranty on compressors for the evaporator coils.
