About this opportunity
The Idaho Department of Fish & Game is requesting quotes for eighteen custom-built headache racks (thirteen for Chevy Silverado 1500 trucks and five for Chevy Silverado 2500 trucks) under RFQ #1457, with quotes due October 20, 2026. Vendors must be located within seventy-five miles of the delivery location in Nampa, Idaho.
The racks must be newly manufactured, latest-model units with powder-coated black steel construction, capable of supporting 3,000 pounds of dead weight, integrated lighting provisions, and winch-mounting capabilities. Vendors must establish accounts in the IPRO Supplier Portal system and submit responses electronically through that platform or via email to Dana Jo McGee (DanaJo.McGee@idfg.idaho.gov, 208-287-2816). The specific deadline for questions is referenced in IPRO.
Contractors are responsible for vehicle pickup, rack installation, and return delivery within thirty calendar days of taking possession. A minimum one-year warranty covering all parts, labor, equipment, and freight is required, with factory-authorized repair facilities mandated within a one-hundred-mile radius of Nampa. Vendors must provide current, signed written agreements from manufacturers confirming authorized dealer or reseller status.
Required submittals include a completed price sheet with separate unit and extended costs for each headache-rack type, a signature page certifying compliance with federal debarment regulations and acceptance of State of Idaho Standard Contract Terms and Conditions (July 2026), and a certificate of insurance. Commercial General Liability and Commercial Automobile Liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and per accident, respectively, are required; Workers Compensation Insurance with Employer's Liability limits of $1 million per accident and per disease are also mandatory. The State of Idaho, IDFG, and its officers and employees must be named as additional insureds. Contractors must obtain insurance from carriers rated A-VII or better and provide certificates within five business days of award.
Award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the responsive, responsible vendor submitting the lowest total cost. The resulting contract will be issued as a Purchase Order. Payment follows Idaho Code 67-2302, due after acceptance and inspection; the acceptance period is thirty calendar days from delivery, during which the contractor must correct any discrepancies at no additional cost.
