About this opportunity
Columbus State University, located in Laurens County and Columbus City, Georgia, is soliciting quotes through an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) process to procure an HP Latex R5300 wide-format printer system for its University Operations Sign Shop. The procurement includes the printer itself, all necessary supplies, and annual maintenance services to support the shop's high-volume production needs for signage and display graphics. The HP Latex R5300 is specified as the required equipment due to its unique capability to utilize water-based latex inks while supporting both rigid and flexible substrates up to 126 inches in width, enabling indoor-safe, odorless printing that eliminates the need for additional ventilation or off-gassing time. As part of this acquisition, Columbus State University intends to trade in its current wide-format printer, a Mutoh flatbed printer (Model VJ-1638-UH). The eRFQ was posted on March 17, 2026, with a submission deadline of March 23, 2026. All qualified suppliers are invited to submit responses for evaluation and potential contract award. The procurement is being conducted pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.).
The document does not specify any set-aside designations, restrictions on organization types, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or specific evaluation criteria beyond the equipment specifications outlined. No incumbent vendor or current contractor information is referenced, though the trade-in of the existing Mutoh flatbed printer indicates the university's current infrastructure that will be replaced. The possible award value or budget range for this procurement is not disclosed in the provided information. Potential respondents should note that the equipment specification for the HP Latex R5300 represents a narrowly defined requirement, and suppliers must be qualified to provide this specific model along with associated supplies and maintenance services.

Columbus State University¿s University Operations Sign Shop seeks to acquire a high-capacity, wide-format printing system capable of producing high-quality output across a variety of materials used for signage, display graphics, and related applications.
