About this opportunity

Escambia County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking quotes for hazardous tree removal services at 423 Well Line Road in Cantonment, Florida. The procurement involves large limb and trunk removal and hauling services, with a mandatory pre-solicitation meeting scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM on the project site. Contractors must be licensed, insured, and experienced in large tree removal, with requirements to provide a list of company-owned tree removal and hauling equipment, vehicles, and local reference work. The project demands completion within 30 days of the Notice of Award, with quote submissions due by 5:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026. Key qualifications include meeting Escambia County Contractor Insurance requirements, with specific insurance mandates of $1,000,000 workers' compensation coverage and $1,000,000 general liability per occurrence. Evaluation will involve reviewing submitted documentation, including a completed Quote Form, W-9, and proof of insurance. Contractors must contact CRA Development Program Manager LaDarren Taylor at 850-595-3499 for any questions regarding the solicitation.

The solicitation does not explicitly mention any set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. There are no details provided about incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure requiring integration. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the procurement appears to be a competitive quote-based selection process with the county reserving the right to purchase additional quantities for up to 180 days from the offer date. Insurance requirements are comprehensive, mandating workers' compensation with statutory limits, employer's liability of $1,000,000, and general liability coverage with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 annual aggregate. The county will require all policies to name Escambia County as an additional insured with 30-day cancellation notification. Contractors must be prepared to submit extensive documentation, including proof of Sunbiz registration, current business tax receipt, contractor licensure, and equipment inventories. The procurement process allows for bid protests, which must be resolved within two business days of the award posting.
