About this opportunity
Camden County Board of Commissioners is requesting proposals for countywide janitorial services across 24 county facilities, with sealed proposals due August 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EST and questions due July 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
The scope covers cleaning services for government buildings, courthouses, senior centers, health departments, libraries, parks, and administrative offices throughout Camden County and surrounding areas. Pricing must be submitted on a monthly basis for each of the 24 locations separately. The county supplies toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, facial tissues, and urinal screens; the contractor must supply all other equipment and materials.
Proposers must be licensed, bonded, and insured with minimum $1,000,000 commercial general liability coverage, $1,000,000 automobile liability coverage, and workers' compensation as required by Georgia law. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of two years' professional janitorial experience, preferably in government settings; provide three references of similar work; maintain current background checks for all employees; and comply with E-Verify federal work authorization requirements. A bid bond must accompany each proposal. Upon award, the selected contractor must furnish a $50,000 Janitorial Services Fidelity Bond.
The contract commences January 1, 2027 and automatically renews annually through December 31, 2031, unless terminated earlier. The county retains the option to renew on a year-to-year basis thereafter at its sole discretion, contingent upon funding availability and contractor performance. Board of Commissioners approval is expected September 1, 2026, with a Letter of Intent to Award issued September 2, 2026.
Evaluation allocates 45 points for completeness of approach to scope of services, 25 points for price, 20 points for firm qualifications, and 10 points for past performance with governmental or private entities. The county will not reimburse any costs incurred in proposal preparation.
