About this opportunity
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is soliciting bids for the replacement of deck boards on several fishing docks located in Williams and Defiance Counties, Ohio. The project involves removing all existing wood, rub rails, and cleats, and replacing the decking with new composite decking boards in a Pebble Gray or Winchester Gray color. The new decking must be secured to treated lumber frames attached to the underlying steel dock structure and installed using hidden fasteners. The docks will remain in the water during the work, though the contractor may opt to remove them, and a crane will be required. Bids are due by August 6, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the delivery date set for December 1, 2024.
The state is encouraging the use of Ohio-certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) vendors for this project. No specific incumbent vendors or budget ranges are provided, but the contractor will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote or Personal Services Agreement and complete an OPERS Independent Contractor/Worker Acknowledgment form. Bidders must also submit an Affirmation and Disclosure Form, which requires the disclosure of the principal locations of the contractor's and any subcontractors' businesses, as well as the locations where the services and state data will be performed and stored.
