About this opportunity

Palm Beach County's Board of County Commissioners issued Request for Quotation (RFQ) #900439RR-SM for the purchase and delivery of disposable food containers under a term contract. The procurement seeks three types of non-toxic disposable food containers: Item 1 consists of 50,000 units of two-piece food containers (Southern Champion Lock Corner Sausage Box #1701 or equal), and Item 3 consists of 96,000 units of one-piece food containers (Southern Champion Tray #0401 or equal); Item 2 was deleted via Amendment #1. Quotations were due January 30, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., with responses acceptable via fax or email, and vendors must sign and submit the executed amendment with their RFQ response to avoid rejection. The successful vendor will be awarded a twelve-month contract with the option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods, subject to mutual written agreement and annual appropriations. Pricing must be quoted on a per-unit basis with firm, fixed pricing to remain constant throughout the initial term and any renewal periods. Delivery must occur within ten calendar days of receiving a delivery order with F.O.B. destination point and all transportation charges the responsibility of the vendor. Award will be made on an all-or-none, total offer basis to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter.

A five percent local preference is available to quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades if they are within ten percent of the lowest bid, and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certified firms also receive consideration within ten percent of the lowest bid. Vendors must comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, including criminal history background checks for personnel entering critical facilities, and must maintain current business licenses and certifications throughout the contract term. The County reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as needed and accepts no minimum order requirements. No specific budget or award value was provided in the RFQ documentation. Vendors selecting equal product options to the specified Southern Champion containers must provide complete manufacturer name, brand, part number, and model information for consideration.
