About this opportunity
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Wildlife and Fresheries Division is requesting pest control services for the District 5 office in Spanish Fort under a competitive quick quote solicitation, with proposals due October 28, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on October 26 at 9:00 a.m. Vendors must hold a valid pesticide applicator license and service both designated areas under an all-or-none award structure.
The scope covers monthly commercial-grade pest control at two buildings totaling 910 linear feet, addressing rats, mice, roaches, ants (excluding carpenter ants), silverfish, spiders and web brushing, fleas, and other occasional pests. Service includes monthly rodent station monitoring, callback response within 48 hours at no charge, provision of Material Safety Data Sheets, and sign-in/sign-out procedures. A quotable line item is available for additional treatments such as bed bug, German roach, or Argentine ant services as needed. Subcontracting and third-party vendors are prohibited; all initial charges must be included in the quoted monthly or annual cost.
The cumulative contract value may not exceed $25,000 over the entire term. The initial contract period runs November 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. DCNR intends to establish a multi-year agreement with a maximum term of five years, to be determined at award based on pricing and anticipated usage, subject to annual renewal. Vendors must maintain current insurance with minimum coverage of $200,000 aggregate and $100,000 per occurrence.
Responses must be submitted electronically through the Alabama Buys system. Vendors must certify compliance with state requirements including non-collusion, sales tax exemption verification, E-Verify enrollment for Alabama employees, and compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Price escalation requests may be considered during contract performance if justified by material or labor cost increases and do not exceed industry-specific price indices or CPI rates or 5% of annual contract cost, subject to the $25,000 cumulative cap. Contact Amanda Lundy at 251-626-5474 for site visit details.
