About this opportunity
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is requesting proposals for monthly pest-control and termite services at Eastaboga Fish Hatchery, 930 Fish Hatchery Road, Eastaboga, Alabama, with proposals due September 14, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on September 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The vendor must be a licensed pesticide applicator — a core eligibility requirement. The solicitation is structured on an all-or-none basis.
The scope covers three service lines across approximately 6,040 square feet in three buildings: monthly commercial-grade pest control for rats, mice, roaches, ants (excluding carpenter ants), silverfish, spiders, and fleas; annual termite inspections using Commercial Sentricon service; and as-needed specialized services for bed bugs, German roaches, and Argentine ants. The vendor must maintain current licensing and insurance with $200,000 aggregate and $100,000 per-occurrence limits, provide Material Safety Data Sheets upon initial visit and upon request, and respond to callback services within 48 hours at no additional charge. Rodent stations must be placed on building exteriors and monitored monthly. Bait boxes, sticky traps, and fly traps may not be placed inside buildings unless specifically requested by facility management. All initial charges must be included in quoted monthly and annual costs.
The initial contract term runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with renewal options annually. The maximum cumulative contract value is $25,000 across all years and renewals combined, not to exceed five years. The Department intends to establish a multi-year agreement and requires price consistency throughout the term; price escalation requests cannot exceed 5% of annual contract cost and must be supported by documentation and industry-specific justification. Vendors must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically. The point of contact for the mandatory site visit is Marshielia Pitts, 256-831-6860.
