About this opportunity
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting bids on pest control services for the Carbon Hill Fish Hatchery under an all-or-none contract structure, with proposals due September 21, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on September 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 1930 Fish Hatchery Road, Eastaboga, AL. The cumulative contract value shall not exceed $25,000 over the entire agreement term, including all renewals.
Scope covers monthly pest control services at two structures totaling approximately 3,295 square feet located at 368 2nd Ave, Carbon Hill, AL 35549, targeting rats, mice, roaches, ants (excluding carpenter ants), silverfish, spiders, and fleas. Services must use commercial-grade insecticide and rodenticide, include monthly monitoring of exterior rodent stations, and provide callback services within 48 hours of notification at no additional cost during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The initial contract term runs October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. DCNR intends to establish a multi-year agreement with annual renewal options, contract term not to exceed five years.
Bidders must be licensed pesticide applicators with proof of insurance including $200,000 aggregate and $100,000 per-occurrence coverage. Material Safety Data Sheets must be provided upon initial visit and upon request. All bidders must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically. Suppliers employing one or more employees in Alabama must provide E-Verify documentation prior to award; failure to submit within five calendar days of notification results in bid rejection. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis and may request written proof of qualifications including manufacturer authorizations, professional licenses, and certificates of insurance after bid opening. The supplier must maintain consistency in pricing, products, services, specifications, and all deliverables throughout the contract term. Contact Marshielia Pitts at 256-831-6860 for site-visit coordination.
