About this opportunity
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is soliciting quotes for concrete sand and brick sand under an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity agreement, with quotes due November 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. Eligibility is restricted by location: the contractor's source of supply must be within a two-hour driving distance of the Nashville Department of Transportation facility at 750 S 5th Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37206. A cost incentive applies for Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran (SDV) owned business participation, and no Equal Business Opportunity Program goal has been established.
Products must meet ASTM C144 for brick sand and ASTM C33 for concrete sand. The contract is available to all Metro departments and agencies on an as-needed basis by purchase order. Metro reserves the right to make multiple awards and does not guarantee minimum or maximum purchase volumes. Metro may pick up product or the contractor may deliver. All shipping, delivery, and fuel charges must be included in unit prices under FOB Delivery and supplier-prepaid shipping, with no additional charges accepted. Respondents must submit pricing on the required bid form with unit prices for all line items, a completed vendor checklist, and acceptance of the attached Goods and Services Contract. Insurance requirements include general liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, products and automobile liability of $1,000,000 combined single limit each, and statutory workers' compensation.
SBE and SDV subcontractors and subconsultants must be listed on the Subcontractor/Subconsultant Form and registered with Metro before the closing deadline. Net 30 payment terms apply.
The solicitation opened October 22, 2026. The pre-offer meeting on October 28, 2026 and the question deadline of November 2, 2026 have passed. Intent to award is anticipated by November 25, 2026, with contract execution expected by December 21, 2026.
