About this opportunity

The Long Beach Public Utilities Department is requesting bids on computer hardware and peripheral supplies under ITB UD-26-338, with bids due July 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. PST via the City's LongBeachBuys portal, and questions due June 11, 2026.

The scope includes HP ZBook and EliteBook laptops, HP ProDesk desktop computers in standard and mini configurations, Microsoft Surface Pro devices, and HP monitors, with estimated quantities ranging from 1 to 80 units per item type. All equipment must include manufacturer warranties of at least twelve months; the contractor bears all warranty service costs including shipping and labor. The Department reserves the right to accept equivalent or superior products meeting or exceeding original specifications at equal or more favorable pricing, subject to Director of Information Services approval, if specific models become unavailable or discontinued during the contract term.

The contract runs for an initial one-year period with options to renew for up to four additional one-year periods, not to exceed five years total. Delivery must be completed within ten business days of purchase order receipt to the Water Warehouse at 1841 East 33rd Street, Long Beach, California, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. PST. Bid prices must be firm for the contract term and include all delivery, handling, and associated costs with no minimum order requirements permitted. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease estimated quantities based on operational needs and actual funding availability.

Awarded contractors must maintain a valid Long Beach business license and California Secretary of State registration prior to contract execution and provide certificates of insurance including commercial general liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, workers' compensation coverage, and automobile liability coverage of $500,000 combined single limit. Bid opening and contractor selection are scheduled for August 2026, with contract execution anticipated in September or October 2026.
