About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting quotations on a compressed air system comprising a 2,200-gallon vertical air receiver and a high-efficiency filtration system with mist elimination, with quotes due June 5, 2013, and first delivery desired by mid to late August 2013.
The solicitation covers two line items: a vertical air receiver meeting ASME certification and dimensional requirements (quantity 1) and a high-efficiency filtration system with 36-month element warranty and specified particle and oil removal standards (quantity 1). Equipment will support vehicle refurbishment and repair operations at a production facility in Limestone, Maine. Bidders must screen through the federal Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) and comply with Buy American Act requirements. Debarment certification under Executive Order 12549 is required prior to award.
This is a one-year purchasing agreement with the contract potentially awarded to one or more vendors. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% and to award on individual items or as a group based on best value. Projected purchase volumes are based on current production projections with no guaranteed minimum or maximum. Bid prices must include all freight and delivery charges to Limestone and represent fixed contract prices for orders of any quantity, including partial shipments, unless specific delivery price constraints are agreed upon before award. Bidders must provide pricing guarantees through a specified date, normal lead times in calendar days, product condition (new, remanufactured, or other), manufacturer information, country of origin, and quantities available for immediate and future delivery.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, considering quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. All questions must be submitted through the official Question and Answer portal on the Solicitation Details View page; responses to all vendors will appear in the same location. Electronic submission closes at 2:00 p.m. local time on June 5, 2013.
