About this opportunity
The City of Lubbock, Texas is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Comprehensive Maintenance Program for Emergency Power Systems. The City is seeking qualified vendors to provide preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, maintenance service calls, and emergency service calls for the City's generators located at various facilities throughout Lubbock. The contract will be for a one-year term with four optional one-year extensions. Proposals are due by April 10, 2024 prior to 3:00 P.M. A pre-proposal meeting will be held on April 2, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. via teleconference. The RFP outlines detailed scope of work requirements, including bi-annual, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance services, as well as scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency repairs. Pricing will be evaluated based on 50% weighting, references at 20% weighting, and response time at 30% weighting.
The City will not accept cost-plus-a-percentage-of-cost pricing, and all materials, rental equipment, and subcontractor costs must be passed through at the Contractor's actual cost with no markups. The City reserves the right to add or delete generator locations and/or units during the contract term. The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor is not disclosed, and the budget range for the contract is not provided.
