About this opportunity
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide commissioning services for the Mental Health Recovery Facility Project. This capital construction project, funded through the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Program (SPLOST 2020, Project 28), involves the design, construction, and equipping of a residential-style mental health recovery facility located at 240 Mitchell Bridge Road. The selected vendor will be required to provide commissioning services during the project's pre-construction, design, and construction phases, including design review, construction observation and testing, and post-occupancy support. The project's scope covers systems such as building enclosure, mechanical, HVAC controls, plumbing, electrical, and renewable energy. Proposals are due by June 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST, and will be evaluated based on the offeror's understanding of the project, the qualifications and experience of the commissioning agent team, and the proposed price. Shortlisted firms will be invited to submit a comprehensive price proposal and attend interviews as part of the final selection process.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The estimated construction cost for the project is $6.6 million, though the total funds available may increase prior to the Request for Proposals stage. The RFP does not mention any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it indicate any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
