About this opportunity
City of Lafayette, Colorado is soliciting sealed bids for the Coal Creek Sewer Rehabilitation (2025 Collection System Improvements Project), with a mandatory pre-bid conference on November 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Lafayette City Hall and sealed proposals due by 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2026. The work runs along the Coal Creek Trail from Adonis Court through Erin Way, parallel to the trail, and ties in near the end of Hera Court. The bid schedule includes 34 line items with unit prices and quantities. Item 10, service connection installation, is pre-priced at $20,000. The City has appropriated funds equal to or exceeding the contract price, and the contract is subject to annual appropriation by the City Council. Progress payments are made monthly at 95 percent of work completed, with 5 percent retainage until substantial completion. Lien rights are unavailable because this is a public works project governed by Colorado Revised Statutes 38-26-105 through 107. Liquidated damages for delay will be specified in the executed agreement.
