Federal requirements apply if federal funds are used.
The contract is firm fixed price with no escalation and no guaranteed minimum quantities. Transportation costs are prepaid with F.O.B. destination delivery. The County will not reimburse state or federal sales taxes. Bids must remain firm for 60 calendar days after opening. Payment follows Board of County Commissioners voucher approval, with interest on late payments per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-19.1. The County may award to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications or make per-item awards.
Bidders must submit electronically through the Middlesex County Electronic Procurement Portal. The bid opening will be live-streamed via Zoom. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to visit all jobsites and confer with the designated contacts: Patrick Voelker for 750 Jernee Mill Road, Tom Adams for the Apple Orchard Lane sites, and Michael Green for the Fire Academy Drive sites.
