About this opportunity

The Town of Fraser in Grand County, Colorado, is seeking a comprehensive contractor for the Clayton Court Streetscape Project, a municipal infrastructure renovation scheduled for completion in late 2025. The procurement involves a full streetscape reconstruction spanning approximately 9+25 station length, with a bid due date of November 10, 2025, and a mandatory pre-bid meeting on October 15, 2025. The project scope encompasses extensive site controls, demolition, grading, asphalt paving, hardscaping, and electrical infrastructure improvements along Clayton Court. Key deliverables include constructing a 20.50-foot full road section with drive lanes, parallel parking, rollover curbs, sidewalks, and installing site furnishings such as benches, trash receptacles, planters, and bike racks. The project also requires electrical work including new street lighting, two EV charging stations, underground utilities, and a new 30kVA transformer. Bidders must provide a 5% bid bond, and the contract timeline is set at 90 calendar days for substantial completion and 125 calendar days for final completion, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays.

The contract appears to be open to all qualified contractors without specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions. The total project involves approximately 2,850 square yards of asphalt paving, 1,770 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, and 6,965 square feet of concrete sidewalks. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the project requires performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price, suggesting a significant municipal investment. The electrical infrastructure will integrate new underground raceway systems, street lighting, and EV charging capabilities, indicating a modern urban renewal approach. Contractors will need to demonstrate capabilities in civil engineering, roadway reconstruction, electrical systems installation, and compliance with municipal design standards. The project is funded through municipal appropriations by the Town of Fraser, with a focus on improving infrastructure, accessibility, and aesthetic quality for the community.
