About this opportunity
The State of Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) is amending Metro Ethernet Service contract P-68865 with Fidium to upgrade bandwidth from 100 MB to 500 MB at two Department of Corrections sites, with the change order posted for a 14-day review period closing November 3, 2026.
The two affected locations are DOC-R027 Vienna-Secondary at 6695 State Route 146 E, Vienna, Illinois (Piatt County) and DOC-R017 Pinckneyville-Secondary at 5835 State Route 154, Pinckneyville, Illinois (Jackson County). The bandwidth upgrade applies to both sites.
The change order is subject to posting under Illinois Procurement Code requirements because it increases contract costs by more than $25,000 or extends the completion timeline by 180 days or more. The amendment is authorized under Section 33E-9 of the Criminal Code and complies with Section 1-15.12 of the Procurement Code and Section 1.2067 of the Chief Procurement Office General Services Administrative Rules. DoIT determined that the circumstances necessitating the upgrade were either not reasonably foreseeable at original contract execution or are germane to the original contract terms.
