About this opportunity

The County of Santa Clara Procurement Department is soliciting electronic bids for the Central Services Camera Replacements project, a public works initiative scheduled for bid submission by September 25, 2025, prior to 3:00 PM. The contract involves comprehensive CCTV camera replacements at the Central Services Building, requiring a successful contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to complete the specified work. Bidders must submit proposals through Biddingo under ITB-PRC-FY26-0433 and are required to possess specific contractor licenses: a C7 Low Voltage Systems and C10 Electrical Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State License Board. Each bid must include bidder's security, such as cash, a certified/cashier's check, or a bond equaling at least 10% of the total bid price. Original bid bonds must be physically delivered or mailed to the Procurement Department in San Jose, with specific instructions for drop-off or mailing, including a requirement to email tracking numbers for mailed documents.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, the contract has strict licensing and bonding prerequisites that will limit eligible bidders. Contractors must demonstrate technical competence through required licensing and financial stability through the mandatory bid bond. The procurement is specifically for a technology infrastructure upgrade, focusing on replacing existing CCTV camera systems at the Central Services Building. The bid documents indicate this is a public works project subject to prevailing wage requirements, which may influence overall project costs. Though a specific budget range is not provided, the requirement for a 10% bid bond suggests the project has a significant monetary value. Interested contractors must carefully review the complete bid documentation, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and prepare comprehensive proposals that meet the technical specifications for camera replacement and installation.
