About this opportunity

Cedar Springs Public Schools is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the removal and installation of metal lockers at Cedar Springs High School, representing a facility infrastructure procurement by the school district located in Kent County, Michigan. The project involves the removal of 251 existing full-length 12-inch-wide lockers and the installation of 336 new two-tier 18-inch lockers in the first-floor north wing hallway. The new locker system must consist of 168 frames with 336 half-height doors configured as two-tier units measuring 18x15x36/72 inches, featuring 16-gauge doors with pan reinforcement, 24-gauge flanged sides and back, heavy-duty 16-gauge floors, continuous sloped tops, rivet assembly, new Master Lock combination locks keyed to the existing system, and nickel-plated recessed handles with multi-point latching. The project also includes a complete new numbering system for the corridor with alpha-numeric options. Qualified bidders must be licensed and insured, and bids must include separate line items for removal and disposal of existing lockers as well as supply and installation of new lockers. Proposals are due May 2, 2019 at 10:00 am with a public bid opening at the Maintenance and Transportation Office, 204 E Muskegon St, Cedar Springs, MI 49319, with project completion required by July 15, 2019 contingent upon contract award and finalization of all details by April 22, 2019. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Ken Simon at 616-696-1204 Extension 1010.

All bidders must comply with Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012 (Iran Economic Sanctions Act) and must submit a notarized familial relationship disclosure statement with their bid; failure to include this notarized statement will result in automatic bid disqualification. Bidders must represent that they and their officers, directors, and employees are not Iran-linked businesses and must maintain this compliance throughout contract performance. No set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, or other protected classifications are identified in the RFP specifications. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specific budget ranges are listed in the procurement documents. The specifications do not reference any existing technology or infrastructure requiring integration beyond the requirement to key new Master Locks to the existing locker system.
