About this opportunity
The City of Peachtree City, located in Fayette County, Georgia, is seeking bids for the Cedar Croft Path Fencing project, which involves removing and replacing approximately 1,200 linear feet of chain-link fence along the Cedar Croft path west of Joel Cowan Parkway. The procurement is conducted through an Invitation for Bids (IFB) and requires potential contractors to replace existing fencing with new guardrails and fencing, potentially involving vegetation and tree removal. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn rear parking lot, with bid opening set for May 6, 2025, at 3:00 pm local time. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including a Construction Contractors Qualification Statement, Bid Security, Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Security and Immigration Compliance Affidavit. The project offers two fence options: Option A for Timber Railing Fence and Option B for a Combination Timber & Chain-link Fence, with a required 5% bid security. The contract stipulates a 60-calendar day period for substantial completion and an additional 30 days for final completion, with liquidated damages of $200 per day for delays.
The project is locally funded and requires bidders to provide a Performance Bond at 100% of the project cost and a Payment Bond at 110% of the project cost. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, the City reserves the right to award the contract in phases and to reject any or all bids. Bidders are required to download project documents from the city's website and are responsible for monitoring potential addenda. The procurement does not specify an exact budget range, but contractors should be prepared to provide comprehensive fencing solutions with precise specifications for either timber railing or combination fencing. The City of Peachtree City will evaluate bids based on completeness of documentation, compliance with project specifications, and overall value proposition. Interested contractors should carefully review all documentation and ensure full compliance with the project's technical and administrative requirements.
