About this opportunity
The County of Santa Clara Procurement Department is soliciting electronic bids for CCTV IP Installation Services at the Santa Clara Valley Healthcare Milpitas Parking Structure, classified as a public works project requiring prevailing wage payments. The procurement opportunity, identified by ITB-PRC-FY26-0397, involves comprehensive security camera infrastructure upgrades, specifically the removal of existing analog fixed PTZ cameras and power supplies, and the installation of 18 new Axis cameras (two different types) and 2 BDC Video Network Video Recorders. Contractors are expected to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to complete the specified work. A mandatory site visit and pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM PST, located at the front office of the parking structure at 143 N. Main Street, Milpitas, CA. Electronic bids must be submitted through Biddingo prior to 3:00 PM PST on August 15, 2025, with bidders required to ensure the original bid bond is received in-office by the specified deadline.
The procurement requires bidders to submit bid security in the form of cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond representing at least 10% of the total aggregate bid price, payable to "The County of Santa Clara." The original bid bond must be mailed or delivered to the County of Santa Clara Procurement Department, specifically addressed to Teresa Cox, Procurement Officer, at 130 W. Tasman Drive in San Jose. While the solicitation does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, the project's classification as a public works project suggests potential local or state requirements for contractor diversity. The scope involves working with existing infrastructure, requiring contractors to potentially reuse some current camera and related equipment during the installation process. Though a specific budget range is not provided, the comprehensive nature of the security system upgrade and the requirement for specialized IP camera installation suggests a significant investment in modernizing the parking structure's surveillance capabilities.
