About this opportunity
The State of Ohio, through the Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), is seeking bids for the installation of CAT6 Ethernet cabling at the East Harbor State Park Law Enforcement (LE) Building in Marblehead, Ohio. The project requires the installation of 9 CAT6 Ethernet runs to wall plates in various rooms, with some rooms requiring multiple Ethernet jacks per plate. The vendor is responsible for providing all materials and labor, as well as conducting any necessary demolition, hauling, and site cleanup. The State is also purchasing, but not installing, a 10U or larger wall mount rack, a 24-port patch panel, and a rack mount power distribution unit. The project must be completed by June 1, 2024, and interested vendors are encouraged to schedule a site visit with the project contact, Lieutenant Chad German, prior to submitting a bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The contract opportunity includes preferences for Veteran-Friendly Business Enterprises (VBEs) and businesses offering products made in Ohio or the United States. These preferences allow VBE bids to exceed non-VBE bids by up to 5% and still be eligible for the award, and bids containing Ohio, border state, or American products to be selected even if they exceed non-Ohio/border state/American product bids by up to 5% or 6%, respectively. The total estimated value of the project is not provided, but the contract will be awarded based on the lowest total cost, calculated by multiplying the unit costs by the estimated quantities.
