About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the installation of CAT6 Ethernet cabling at the East Harbor State Park Law Enforcement (LE) Building in Marblehead, Ohio. The project requires the installation of 9 CAT6 Ethernet runs to wall plates in various rooms, with some wall plates having multiple Ethernet jacks. The vendor is responsible for providing all materials and labor, as well as demo, haul away, and site clean-up. The State also wants to purchase, but not install, a 10U or larger wall mount rack, a 24-port patch panel, and a rack mount power distribution unit. The project must be completed by June 1, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Interested vendors are encouraged to schedule a site visit with Lieutenant Chad German prior to submitting a bid.
The bid will be evaluated based on the lowest total cost, calculated by multiplying the unit costs by the estimated quantities. Veteran-Friendly Business Enterprises (VBEs) and businesses offering products made in Ohio or the U.S. may receive bid preferences. All invoices must be submitted directly to Ohio Shared Services, and the awarded supplier will be required to sign an addendum or personal services agreement.

Ordering Location and Address: East Harbor State Park LE Building 1169 N. Buck Rd. Marblehead, Ohio 43440
Project Background: Installation of CAT6 Ethernet throughout the building.
Specifications/Scope of Work
CAT6 ethernet runs installed in the building.
In total there will be 9 runs to wall plates in rooms (see rough drawing below “CAT6 ethernet runs”). The jacks to be flush mount for inside walls with drywall, and they can be surface mount for any exterior walls or walls that aren’t drywall.
The runs start from the storage area/garage. There is attic access in the garage that leads to the attic above all the rooms.

• Installation of 3 wall plates having 4 CAT6 ethernet runs.
• The vendor is responsible for demo, haul away, site clean-up.

Site Visit & Point of Contact
Prior to submitting a bid response, offerors are encouraged to visit the East Harbor State Park LE Building 1169 N. Buck Rd. Marblehead, Ohio 43440. Contact Lieutenant Chad German at (419)350-7360 to set up site visit.
Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract.
Evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.
Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total. Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.

2.Scores on proposals submitted by veteran-friendly businesses to be up to five percent lower than the proposal scores submitted by businesses not certified as veteran-friendly and still be eligible for winning the award.
