About this opportunity

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is seeking responses from firms specializing in carpet replacement for Building B Meeting Room Replacement Phase II. This procurement opportunity focuses on a comprehensive carpet replacement project, with responses being accepted until June 24, 2025. The solicitation is specifically targeted at professional firms with expertise in commercial carpet installation and replacement services. Potential respondents must adhere to strict communication restrictions, which prohibit direct communication with Authority staff or representatives from the time of advertisement until final award, except for specifically authorized question submissions. Firms must carefully follow the Invitation for Bid (IFB) instructions and are warned that any violation of communication protocols could result in immediate disqualification. The procurement process includes specific technical requirements for carpet replacement, though the exact specifications are detailed in the attached government file "Building B Meeting Room Carpet Replacement Ph.docx".

The solicitation appears to be open to all qualified vendors without explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. Respondents must demonstrate professional capabilities in carpet replacement services, with potential evaluation criteria likely focusing on technical expertise, past performance, and competitive pricing. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated in the provided documentation, the project involves a meeting room carpet replacement, suggesting a moderate-scale procurement. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority retains significant discretionary power in the procurement process, including the right to reject any or all submissions, waive technical irregularities, and cancel the procurement at any time. Firms are also prohibited from making public statements or press releases about their finalist status or apparent award, with violations potentially resulting in submittal rejection. The procurement covers jurisdictions including Fulton County and Atlanta City, indicating a localized scope for this carpet replacement project.
