All work must comply with the 2018 North Carolina State Building Code. Contractor must verify existing conditions, quantify work locations, and submit tested assembly documentation with attachment requirements prior to installation. All bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law and demonstrate the ability to respond to the project site within a timeframe subject to Owner verification.

Contract completion is 75 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, which will be issued within 30 days of execution. Bid security of not less than 5 percent of the gross bid amount is required, along with Performance and Payment Bonds each in the full contract amount. Liquidated damages are $1,000 per calendar day for late completion. A contingency allowance of $15,000 must be included in the base bid. Alternates and unit price work are included; wood deck allowances cover up to 250 board feet of deteriorated plank, 250 board feet of deteriorated blocking, and 96 square feet of deteriorated plywood. Questions must be submitted in writing to Project Manager John Davinson by 5:00 p.m. at least 10 days before the bid due date.
