About this opportunity

The Rose Bowl Operating Company (RBOC) is seeking a Maintenance Equipment Supplier through a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Brookside Golf Club, a two 18-hole municipal golf course facility located in Pasadena, California. The procurement is specifically for comprehensive golf course maintenance equipment, including two lithium battery electric greens walk mowers, two greens walk mower transport trailers, four triplex hydraulic diesel greens mowers, three diesel fairway mowers, two diesel rotary rough mowers, two diesel workman utility vehicles, two top dresser units, two walk turf aerators, one walk turf aerator transporter, one large area aerator, and two sand pro riding units. The contract term is 48 months, commencing on January 15, 2025, with potential month-to-month extensions at RBOC's discretion. Proposals are due by 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024, and will be evaluated across five key areas: cost proposal (20 points), local Pasadena business preference (5 points), small/micro-business preference (5 points), technical proposal/product specifications (30 points), and experience/qualifications (30 points). Additional requirements include a mandatory stadium investment of at least $7,500 annually, which can be fulfilled through premium seating, stadium sponsorship, or legacy donor pledges.

The RFP includes provisions for local business preferences, with specific consideration for Pasadena-based businesses and small/micro-businesses. While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly stated, the procurement emphasizes local economic participation and includes the City of Pasadena's living wage ordinance and taxpayer protection requirements. Proposers must complete several mandatory forms, including a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) from SAM.gov, conflict of interest disclosures, and non-collusion declarations. The Brookside Golf Courses are a Troon Property, and Troon Properties Pricing will be applied to this procurement. Vendors must provide comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, pricing details, qualifications, and various certification forms. While a specific budget range is not disclosed, the extensive equipment list suggests a significant procurement value, with the contract structured to provide flexibility for the RBOC in terms of equipment usage and potential contract extensions.
