About this opportunity

The City of Reno Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of the Booth Street Siphon, a storm and sewer infrastructure project in Washoe County, Nevada, under IFB I400118-C WA-2026-482, with bids due September 24, 2026. The project is subject to American Iron and Steel (AIS) material requirements under the EPA Build America, Buy America Act, though it qualifies for a waiver of certain BABA provisions as a State Revolving Fund water infrastructure project that initiated design planning prior to May 14, 2022.

Work includes rehabilitation of an existing storm and sewer siphon system along Booth Street and Riverside Drive, with comprehensive utility coordination for existing storm, sewer, water, gas, electrical, traffic, and communication facilities. The scope encompasses siphon geometry restoration and demolition, HDPE piping transitions at upstream and downstream tie-ins, street restoration including bituminous pavement patches and sidewalk repairs, curb and gutter restoration, traffic striping, and electrical infrastructure for flood vault monitoring systems. Engineering design was completed by DOWL (21775-851-4788). The City of Reno maintains project oversight from its Department of Public Works, 1 East First Street, 8th Floor, Reno, Nevada 89505.

Contractors and subcontractors must comply with Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165, which sets forth apprenticeship requirements on public works projects. Detailed technical plans and specifications are provided in Booth St Siphon_Plans_09-2026.pdf and Booth Siphon Full Spex_Rebid.pdf, both posted September 3, 2026.
