About this opportunity
Grosse Ile Township Schools is procuring construction services for Bid Package II - Site Improvements and Cooling Tower as part of their 2016 Bond Program. The project encompasses work at two school facilities in Grosse Ile, Michigan: Meridian Elementary and Grosse Ile High School. The scope of work includes site concrete improvements at Meridian Elementary, cooling tower installation with condenser water piping insulation (both above and below roof line) at Grosse Ile High School, athletics-related earthwork, and bituminous asphalt pavement installation for a track facility. Bidding documents were prepared by French and Associates and are available through Pipeline Suite or for review at The George W. Auch Company offices. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Grosse Ile High School, with sealed bids due by Monday, March 12, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., to be submitted to Ms. Joanne C. Lelekatch, Superintendent of Schools, at Grosse Ile Township Schools (23276 East River Road, Grosse Ile, MI 48138) or The George W. Auch Company (735 S Paddock Street, Pontiac, MI 48341). Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 p.m. on the due date. Proposals must include completed Familial Disclosure Statements and Affidavits of Compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act (both notarized), remain firm for sixty (60) days, and be subject to Michigan Prevailing Wages Act requirements.
A bid bond from a U.S. Treasury Listed Surety Company or a cashier's check equal to at least 5% of the proposal amount (for bids exceeding $23,881) is required with each submission. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more must furnish a U.S. Treasury Listed Company Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid, with bond costs included in the proposal. No specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses are identified in the procurement documents. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The procurement documents do not specify an overall project budget or award value range; however, the bonding requirements indicate that individual bid packages are anticipated to exceed $23,881 and potentially reach $50,000 or more. Grosse Ile Township Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process.
