About this opportunity

Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is requesting sealed bids for annual maintenance, repair, and replacement services for compressors and associated ancillary equipment across county facilities, with bids due October 13, 2026 and a pre-bid conference on September 24, 2026.

The scope encompasses reciprocating, oil-flooded rotary, and oil-free rotary air compressors; dryer units; electrical panels; air receivers; and compressed air pipework distributed across 24+ county locations, including nine fuel sites, the Fleet Management Facility, the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, the Transportation Central Facility, and multiple Department of Water Resources pump stations, as well as facilities serving the Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Police Services, and Department of Sheriff's Office. Equipment identifications and locations are provided in four detailed inventory attachments. Services are required on a time-and-materials basis with estimated annual hours of 183 for preventative maintenance, 83 for reciprocating repairs, 65 for oil-flooded rotary repairs, 45 for oil-free rotary repairs, and 53 for dryer repairs, plus corresponding overtime allocations. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, supplies, transportation, and disposal; maintain 24-hour response time with five-calendar-day delivery for regular service calls and two-hour emergency response with same-day delivery; and carry comprehensive insurance including $2,000,000 general liability aggregate, $1,000,000 automobile liability combined single limits, and Georgia statutory workers' compensation.

The estimated annual parts and materials spend is $43,500 and new equipment spend is $130,000. Pricing shall remain firm for the initial term; bidders may propose percentage increases or decreases for each of four optional one-year renewal periods. Hourly labor rates and parts markups (not to exceed 10%) are required. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Questions are due September 29, 2026. Personnel must pass background screening, comply with E-Verify, and vendors must submit three references, a Code of Ethics affidavit, and proof of A.M. Best A-7 or higher insurance ratings.
