About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Public Health is soliciting bio medical waste removal services for the Georgia Public Health Laboratory under eRFQ 40500-DPH0000201, with quotes due May 16, 2022.
This solicitation has concluded. Stericycle, Inc. was awarded the contract on June 16, 2022 for $50,000. The procurement drew four bidders; Stericycle was selected as the low responsive bid. EnviCare, LLC was deemed nonresponsive for failure to provide required attachments including Points of Contact, Facilities Landfills List, Disposal Sites Incineration List, Financial Stability documentation, and Legal Formation documentation. Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services Georgia and Brooks Environmental Solutions, LLC were rejected as non-low bids. EnviCare filed a protest on August 2, 2022, challenging both the nonresponsive determination and the propriety of a fourteen-minute solicitation extension that occurred prior to the original closing time. The Georgia Department of Administrative Services dismissed the protest as untimely, filed more than ten calendar days after the Notice of Award; the Deputy Commissioner also upheld the solicitation extension as procedurally proper under the Georgia Procurement Manual, as it occurred before the closing deadline while bids remained sealed.
Prospective bidders must access the Team Georgia Marketplace portal to download solicitation documents and submit responses. Technical support is available through the Team Georgia Marketplace Help Desk at 404-657-6000.
